Friday 1 October will present green blood in Caserta, along with the film's characters and with the friendly participation by Toni Servillo.




The same night, along with some African workers film's characters, take the night express to Rosarno.

Brulica di culture globali di cui le italiche terre preferiscono non conoscere e non riconoscere l'esistenza.
Indiani, ghanesi, senegalesi, nigeriani, marocchini, ucraini, bengalesi, burkinabè and sometimes even smiling eternal and stateless persons.
And, almost inexplicably, has a charm of Bildungsroman, a silent heart of history and memory.
memory of migrant Indians who still go through those same trains on the boot, looking for work ever more precarious.

Because this is what I hope my film can suggest. Listen. Know.
I never thought much less now that I think my films or my other films can explain, train or resolve.
I doubt produce. Unanswered.
So before descending towards Caserta-Rosarno, before rising again on quell'espresso night, I leave this letter in black and white against the distraction.
green blood is not the film that establishes or provides explanations about what happened in Rosario.
nor is it a film that wants or aspires to explain Rosarno.

green blood is a proposal and an opportunity.
offers Italians the opportunity to hear first-person accounts of direct protagonists of agricultural laborers and its irrationality; witnesses and passengers to ask other points of view from which to collect and receive different experiences, that pay attention to citizens and not just spectators, players and courageous stories of protest that can awaken the silence of frightened and disillusioned our children.
offers foreigners the chance to play their role, without accepting difficult or easy stereotyping, leaving the protective shells and forced isolation is not always, but sometimes disillusioned or even comfortable, suggests the effort to participate and share hence does not justify the inferiority of "victim predestined." And perhaps it can become
occasion; opportunity to create spaces for discussion and collaboration to respond with silence, injustice or error, when to allow public attention not to settle for evidence of media, but to expect long-term material responses.

Our (mine and ZaLab) desire is that this beautiful vehicle to become civil attention to multiply these proposals and these opportunities for understanding, comparing, sharing and action.
